In the name of Luuuv. A journey of finding your ultimate Soulmate!

In the name of Luuuv. A journey of finding your ultimate Soulmate!

Author: Chandra Mehendrou

Everyone has a different interpretation of love.
I have always believed, where there is love, there is joy and happiness, a little madness and some bit of sadness. Similarly in this book, which is a compilation of 5 tales, we get to read about love and its relative emotions in more than one form. But the theme of all is one, there exists a twin Soulmate for each one of us and the realisation of true love happens when we meet the one made for us.

Love is charming, it is mesmerising, it is absolutely lovely.  I fail to describe it in words but I know the feeling is divine. You know it when you experience it. It is always written mushy- mushy about love but at the same time it can be painful sometimes. The stories in the book emphasis on all the aspects of love. What happens when you meet your ultimate Soulmate? How things change when he or she abandons you? What happens when you just have the memories and a long life to live without your love? What happens when you cannot accept the love because there are bigger responsibilities to look forward to? The stories are sweet and simple.

There is much more to just being in love and search for the true soulmate is simply fascinating. The first story ‘Thoughts of Maya’ touches one softly and we commonly find such love stories. All people do not find love but they never loose their faith in luuv. Second one- ‘True Love at First Click’- Sometimes love happens instantly but it may not be our soulmate. The story is really interesting and its not predictable. I liked the end. Finally the true love happens.

The third story is ‘Together Forever’- Suzanne finds her Soul mate but he dies suddenly. Life just comes to a halt for her. True love gives you strength and courage to fight the odds in life. Physically we may be separated but true love can never affect togetherness. Its eternal!  The next one-‘Tale of Love and Deceit’- Love comes in all forms but its important that we keep the loyalty and faith towards the loved one. Ultimate soul mate makes our life fulfilling but sometimes we may not be lucky enough to be able to spend our life with them.

Lastly-’Till I can Create Love’– One’s believe in true love can win you many difficult times. The same happens with Siddhi.  After the bad experiences in life, she meets her twin soul mate. Be optimistic and definitely patience pays. The writers faith in true love is very powerful and it makes us sit back and take it seriously. There is inspiration for us. The stories were free flowing and enjoyable. Each one had its own twist and turn and everybody can relate them in life.

I enjoyed the book and would suggest it would be a breezy read for anyone who has loved or believes in the power of love. If you are hunting for your soul mate, go for this one. Just like in the book, anywhere, you may find the twin soul mate. What is needed is a strong believe in the miracles of luuuvvv… I believe… Wat say!!! All is fair in the name of Luvvv.

Happy Reading!!!!

Zero percentile 2.0

Zero percentile 2.0

It is a sequel to his first book Zero percentile. The author, Neeraj Chibba works in software industry and thus has successfully crafted an interesting story about the bubbling Indian software industry.I have not read the first one but I had a great time reading his second book.

It captures the world of corporate business in the fast track. The plot is new and I liked the unique characters in it as well.
Each had their own space in the story and the way they dealt in life was absolutely engrossing.

The stories revolve around the lives of the characters below:

Motu, known as the Big Daddy who handles the good and the bad of his company Numerosoft.
Arjun and his special daughter Diyaa. The bond between them is very special and heart touching.
San, the technical expert and nerd wizkid who thrives on hard core programming.
Nitin the admin head in the company has a different fight with life. He is HIV infected and his courage dwindles to fight on things in his life before Tanya comes in his life.
Jaanvee, a combo of beauty with brains.
Priya, my favourite who brings all smiles in their lives especially Motu and Pankaj.

Motu and Pankaj, two best friends set up an IT business together. They give birth to two companies, Numerosoft and PureConsultants. First its only one company but later the next is born. Later there ways of working and interests change and they get seperated. Thus, one comes into picture because of the other.
‘Babe’ is the dream project, most talked about in the book. Each one has their aspirations and dreams connected to it.

Excerpts from the years before keep filling us with the needed information and build up twists and turns in the narration. And lastly it becomes racy, things boil down to cheat and betrayal. The rise and fall of the company shares add a thrill to it and also how the shares exchange hands. The company is losing shares and the takeover bid seems inevitable.  All hopes get pinned down to Babe. But, no solace, the project gets screwed up. The last minute happenings come as a  surprise.

The flow of the story was rightly paced and it had the combination of all the emotions that a human life goes through. At last, the good and the bad happen together. Just as it said, life goes on, we meet new people and lose some dear ones. We move ahead with new hopes and goals and always look back to people who have been close to our hearts.

We met, we chatted and tagged along memories!!!!

We met, we chatted and tagged along memories!!!!

Journeys meant for holidaying are always a pleasure. The whole idea makes the laziest become energetic and the sad turn joyous.  The complete package of travel is associated with excitement, fun and frolic. From the day of conceiving the idea of travelling to deciding the date, fixing an itenary, making reservations, counting days before the D-day and finally packing, is very-very exciting.

Since I was a kid, I have loved to travel. For me, every summer and winter vacations meant a travel by train to my grandparents place. Dates would be freezed and tickets would be done way in advance making me happier before the holidays. Food to be carried for the journey had its special relevance as an extra amount was to be packed for the co-passengers whom we dint know but always cared to share with. The eight hours travel would always have good and bad memories. Train journey has a throng of people moving to their destinations, this meant you could come across a person from any part of the country.Travel always made strangers help each other and added to experiences further enriching. One meets several people and  some meetings become cherished memories.

THREE TIMES LOSER….Love Never Dies

THREE TIMES LOSER….Love Never Dies

This one has been with me for long and for some or the other reason, the reading and then the review got delayed. I apologize for the same. Its better to be late than to be lost…. so here I am well intact. Thanks to the books and the authors who do not give me enough time to feel gloomy.

:)

THREE TIMES LOSER by Akash Verma, its his second novel after ‘It Happened that Night’. I dint have the chance to read the first one. But I am through with the second one and all in all its been a good experience. The title speaks for itself, the pratagonist in here loses his love three times, really sad. But if we look at the brighter side, its three love stories in one package, not a bad deal at all.

It the story of ALOK and three females who come in his life at different stages. Along with his life in years, readers are made to follow a course from Agra, to Lucknow and then to New Delhi. The story has love as its theme but I think if it was love, why did he let go each time, things should have been a little different (maybe it was just an emotional attachment). But as portrayed in the story, when a girl and a boy have something  more than friendship, its considered love and love brings pain on separation. Circumstances in his life and aspirations of the ladies play a key role. It would be apt if I say the realities of life have been dealt in truthfully. Each of his encounter and their story brings us closer to life.

After reading the book, my views on life have been re-affirmed.

‘There are people around you who love you and support you but at the end of the day, one has to live his own life, face the good and the bad.People come and go but none can stay with you forever because I strongly believe its all destined and our lives are intertwined this way’.

PREY BY THE GANGES- An absolute Thriller!!!

PREY BY THE GANGES- An absolute Thriller!!!

For quite some time, I have been reading similar genres, romance and humor and needed something interesting. Thanks to Hemant Kumar for sending his book and I got my much needed break.

The blurb arouses curiosity, the cover page conveys much beyond violence and blood and all in all the book is completely enthralling. Its unputdownable. The story moves along beautifully, its gripping and one feels as if it happened just yesterday though the year and time is unlike today. A two day story, keeps us on toes and  makes us go through myriad of emotions.

Set in eastern India, alongside the river Ganges, the story paints a picture of early independence days. It is the year 1948, and zamidari system is still  not eradicated from this part of the country. Our place of attraction are called Janakganj and Narainpur. The story begins on a cold note when Ravi, an artist is murdered brutally and he dies in the lap of his best friend, Shambhu. The dying body and its pain has been described adeptly with the choicest of words and it paints the real picture before the eyes of the reader. One feels emotionally drained and feels a strong urge to read further.

Book Review: When a Lawyer Falls In Love

Book Review: When a Lawyer Falls In Love

When A Lawyer Falls In Love By Amrita Suresh

First things must come first.  Before I talk much, lets keep it precise. Two words that define the book best are ‘Short and Simple’

It is a refreshing ride through college life and I read it with memories flashing back from all corners of my mind and heart. Campus life holds a special place in every students life and when you get to read about friends and fun, there can be no looking back. The book does not have a plot with a start and finish but is actually about life in and around a law college, where love, friendship, relationships thrive and life seems all sunny and beautiful despite the ups and downs.  The write up is unpretentious and this makes it win an upper hand.

Ankur Palekar, a law student happens to be our protagonist in here. His room mate, a lanky chap is dear Vyas. Souvik, the class topper has a creative side to him. Sonali Shah, the Gujarati gal is no less than a lioness. She is impressive with her special interest and knowledge in palmistry and  astrology. Jaishree, the gal from the south is quiet and beautiful who takes a daring step at last. It isn’t as simple as it seems. But altogether, the campus life anecdotes have a smooth blend of  family worries, muddled love stories, studies but a major part dealing with friendship. Read the rest of this entry

Vivek and I: Book Review

Vivek and I: Book Review

Its been an experience to read this book, definitely unique in itself.  The book deals with a subject that’s not treated quite openly in the society but  it exists. We cannot run away from the truth always and here when the reality of life speaks between the pages, one feels touched and affected. The author, Mayur Patel has come up with a bold story and has done complete justice with it. Not sure how familiar he has been with the emotions depicted in the book.

I must say the most positive aspect of the book is that it has created awareness amongst the readers about a subject that is considered taboo. Some of the interesting twists and turns of the story are engaging and definitely worth the time and money.

The (In)eligible Bachelors by Ruchita Misra

To be true, this one did not come up for review.  I just grabbed it since it was making news all over and it caught my attention too.  The title, The (in)eligible bachelors, seemed interesting. What a timing though as I had put one bachelorship to an end in the recent, few days. Coming back to the book….

Few Things Left Unsaid

Few Things Left Unsaid

Recently I have been getting many books for book reviews. Thoughts that come in my mind signify two sides of the coin.

The Head is that — “Indian Authors are here to make big for themselves and for the reading class” while the Tail implies that “this has created a flood of the same type of stories and genre in the market which may test patience and make decision difficult”.

Reading is enjoyable but choosing the right book definitely makes or breaks a day…. hope my review helps as always….

FEW THINGS LEFT UNSAID by Sudeep Nagarkar

Engineering colleges have been the place where numerous love stories have come into being. When I read about Aaditya and Riya, it seemed as if I was reading one of my friends love story.  I was reminded of the college love lanes and the couples there, each one moving forth with their love story. This one too happens in college and like always makes life challenging for our dear Aaditya and Riya who have so much to study, but have no control over their hearts because it beats for each other.
